I’m Inês, the human behind inestheunicorn, and I want to be clear about how I handle your personal data, when you visit or make a purchase from my website.  I also take security measures, such as changing passwords and shredding physical data on paper to ensure your personal information is secure. WHAT DO I DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you browse my website, I use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect information and details of visitor behavior patterns. With this information I can find out the number of visitors on the different pages of the site and demographic information, such as age and countries. This information is processed in a way that does not identify anyone. 

When you make a purchase from the website I collect the following information from you:

Name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (read next paragraph), phone number, email address and if you wish to join my newsletter. This is known as order information. This website is hosted by Big Cartel. Big Cartel is an online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell products to you, so your data is gathered via Big Cartel. I also collect payment information, via Stripe and PayPal. Information collected from Stripe includes your credit/debit card number, but I'm not able to see it. Information collected from PayPal includes your PayPal e-mail.

All the order information is used to fulfill your purchases, process payments, send invoices, mail orders, internal bookkeeping and to analyze orders for potential credit card fraud via the Stripe and PayPal payment processors.

My mailing list uses MailChimp, a marketing platform which allows me to manage a list of subscribers and send you a monthly newsletter.

If you opt to subscribe to my mailing list via the form on the website’s footer or menu (on the mobile version) only your e-mail will be collected by MailChimp. If you subscribe to the mailing list while placing an order, your e-mail, as well as your name and address will be collected by MailChimp.
